What They say
Wendy came to Bellevue Arts Museum to co-lead our Full STEAM Ahead! Summer Camp in August 2014. This camp was a huge success thanks to her expertise, experience, and warmth working with the campers throughout the week. Every activity was engaging and varied, and while the campers were learning a great deal, it was clear they were also having a blast. The professionalism and quality of programming was exceptional and it would be an honor to work with Get Caught Engineering again. Thank you Wendy!

The Get Caught Engineering activities were a huge hit with our visitors at the National Museum of Natural History. Wendy and Cheryl certainly know the audience and understand what it takes to challenge kids in an engaging and fun way. It’s clear that Get Caught Engineering is not just about single event experiences, it’s about creating opportunities at home and at school for kids to get engaged in STEM. The event was such a success, we are anxious for Wendy and Cheryl to come back again! We wanted a focus on the ocean and they delivered! They are fantastic to work with and real professionals.

The activities provided by Wendy and Cheryl were a perfect approach to reach our campers on many different levels. The campers were so engaged and having so much fun, they didn’t realize how much they were learning during the summer. So many parents were raving about it to me and the kids loved it. It’s been the best camp yet!

Wow! This was one of the most practical and engaging professional development activities our staff has received in a long time. Wendy’s energetic approach and hands-on activities kept our staff laughing and learning from the first minute to the last. She shared practical strategies and valuable resources to help our teachers immediately begin to integrate STEM activities and learning into their elementary classrooms. Our staff is still buzzing about this training and I see evidence of their new learning throughout our school. We were so inspired by Wendy’s message that we’ve even decided to hold a family engineering night at our school. We can’t thank Wendy enough for getting us excited about STEM!

I have worked with Cheryl and Wendy at Get Caught Engineering even before they started their educational consulting company. They are two of the most dedicated and effective elementary school educators that I have ever worked with. Over the past two years I have contracted with Get Caught Engineering to provide teacher professional development during my Summer Teacher STEM Institutes. The teachers who have attended have been so pleased to gain more confidence in bringing authentic engineering experiences to their students, thanks to the creative ideas of Cheryl and Wendy.

As principal of a school with a Math, Science, and Technology focus, I’d been racking my brain over how to evolve our existing program. I attended a workshop run by Wendy & Cheryl, and I saw how awesome a STEM program could really be! Wendy & Cheryl have thoroughly analyzed every program out there. They know what’s what, and they know how to match STEM activities, programs and methodologies to a school’s vision or needs. They could not have been more generous with their knowledge and more supportive of our efforts. As a result, I now have a program that teaches our kids to think and become prepared for the future. Thanks, Wendy & Cheryl. You’re the real deal!

Several Einstein Fellows and I were asked by Wendy and Cheryl to assist with their school’s ‘Gearing Up for Engineering’ family engineering night. We were very impressed with the quantity and quality of diverse, interactive projects and activities offered to the students and their families. I also visited Wendy and Cheryl’s engineering education exhibit at the NSTA conference in San Antonio, TX. It was a hit! These are excellent, creative teachers doing great work!
